How to Make Cajun Seafood Boil Sauce

  • In a large saucepan, melt all 8 sticks of salted butter over high heat. Stir occasionally to create a smooth buttery base.
  • Once melted, gradually mix in the Cajun seasoning, paprika, oregano, cayenne pepper, lemon pepper, sugar, and Old Bay seasoning. Stir well until combined.
  • Add the minced garlic and let it simmer for a few minutes until softened.
  • Mix in the garlic powder and avoid lumps to enhance the garlic taste.
  • Remove from heat and carefully stir in lime juice and crawfish boil mix.
  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add crawfish or seafood of choice and cook for about 5 minutes.
  • Drain seafood and transfer to a serving bowl. Pour the buttery Cajun sauce over and toss until coated.
  • Serve immediately while hot, ensuring to have napkins ready.

Notes

Consider using shrimp, crabs, or even potatoes if crawfish isn't available. Adjust spice levels according to preference. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
