  • 2 pieces Boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 1 cup Shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella) Feel free to mix different types for added flavor.
  • 3 cloves Fresh minced garlic Enhances the dish with a wonderful aroma.
  • 4 pieces Tortillas (flour or whole wheat) Any type can be used for the wraps.

Optional Add-ins

  • 1 cup Fresh spinach For extra nutrition and flavor.
  • 1 cup Chopped bell peppers or onions Consider adding for a variation.

Preparation

  • Slice the chicken into thin strips to cook it quicker.

Cooking

  • In a skillet over medium heat, add a splash of oil. Once hot, add the chicken strips and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for an additional minute.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheese over the chicken, allowing it to melt completely.

Assembly

  • Take a tortilla and place a generous spoonful of the cheesy chicken mixture in the center, adding any optional ingredients if desired.
  • Fold in the sides of the tortilla and then roll it from the bottom up, securing the filling inside.

Finishing

  • Place the wrapped burrito seam-side down in the skillet and toast for 1-2 minutes until golden brown on all sides.

Notes

These wraps can be kept in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in the microwave or skillet before serving. Spice it up by adding taco seasoning to the chicken or use ranch dressing for a unique twist.
