Ingredients
  

For the stuffing balls

  • 2 cups bread crumbs You can use your preferred type.
  • 1 cup cooked turkey, shredded Leftover turkey works well.
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries, chopped
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup celery, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp sage
  • 1/2 tsp thyme
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the bread crumbs, cooked turkey, dried cranberries, onion, and celery.
  • Sprinkle in the sage, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  • Pour in the chicken broth and beaten egg. Stir until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  • Scoop out a tablespoon of the mixture and form it into a ball. Repeat until all the mixture is used.
  • Place the stuffing balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes or until they are golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Feel free to substitute sourdough bread for added flavor, or try different dried fruits like apricots or raisins. Serve with a tangy cranberry sauce for dipping. Leftover stuffing balls can be stored in an airtight container for up to four days, or frozen for longer storage.
