  • 4 count plain bagels, halved

  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 6 slices crispy bacon, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Lay the halved bagels cut side up on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, and chopped green onions. Mix until well combined.
  • Add salt and pepper to taste for extra flavor.
  • Generously spread the cheesy mixture over each bagel half.

Baking

  • Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and slightly golden.
  • Once done, remove from the oven and let them cool for a minute before serving.

Notes

Bacon can be swapped for turkey bacon for a healthier option. You can prepare the cheese mixture the night before and store it in the refrigerator. These bagels freeze well; just reheat in the oven for convenience.
