For the coating

For air frying

Preparation

  • In a medium saucepan, combine water, melted butter, sugar, and salt. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat.
  • Add the flour and baking powder while stirring until the dough forms a ball.
  • Remove from heat and let it cool slightly before adding eggs one at a time. Stir until smooth and combined.
  • Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip. Pipe small bite-sized pieces onto a parchment-lined tray.
  • While shaping, preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).

Cooking

  • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place the churro bites in a single layer, leaving space between them.
  • Air fry for 8-10 minutes, or until they turn golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove the churro bites and immediately roll them in a mixture of cinnamon and sugar until well coated.

Notes
