Preparation

  • Rinse the green beans and trim the ends.
  • Slice the kielbasa into bite-sized pieces.
  • Dice the onion and mince the garlic.

Cooking

  • Place the sliced kielbasa, green beans, diced onion, and minced garlic in the crockpot.
  • Pour in enough chicken broth to cover the bottom, ensuring all ingredients are slightly submerged.
  • Sprinkle in your desired seasonings such as salt, pepper, and paprika, and stir gently to combine.
  • Cover the crockpot with a lid. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  • Check for doneness; the kielbasa should be heated through and the green beans should be vibrant and tender.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. To lower sodium, use light or no-sodium chicken broth. Add spices for extra flavor, like crushed red pepper for heat or Dijon mustard for a twist.
