  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

Buns

  • 1 package burger buns
  • Butter for brushing

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, shredded cheese, green onions, hot sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • Shape the mixture into small patties that can fit inside the buns.
  • Place the patties on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Baking

  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the patties are golden brown.
  • Meanwhile, brush the burger buns with melted butter and lightly toast them in a skillet or oven.

Assembly

  • Assemble the buns by placing a chicken patty inside each toasted bun. Add additional toppings or sauces if desired.
