  • 6 slices provolone cheese or Swiss if you prefer
  • 1 large onion sliced thin (optional but adds great flavor)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 packet au jus mix or homemade if you like

  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard for butter topping
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter to brush on top

Instructions

  • Prep the oven
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  • Slice the buns
  • Slice the slider buns in half horizontally. Place the bottom halves into the baking dish, cut side up.
  • Layer it up

  • In a small bowl, mix melted butter, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and a little Worcestershire sauce. Brush this mix over the top of the buns.
  • Bake
  • Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes, then uncover and bake another 5–7 minutes until golden and toasty.
  • Make the au jus
  • While sliders are baking, prepare the French dip sauce:
  • In a small pot, whisk together au jus mix, beef broth, and a dash of Worcestershire. Heat until warm.
  • Serve and dip
  • Remove sliders from oven, let them cool slightly, then serve with the warm dipping sauce on the side.
