  • 2 pieces chicken breasts
  • 8 oz bowtie pasta Cook according to package instructions.
  • 4 tablespoons butter Use unsalted butter for better control of seasoning.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic is preferred for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup heavy cream For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead.
  • 1 cup chicken broth Ensure to use gluten-free chicken broth if needed.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Don’t forget to season the chicken.
  • Parmesan cheese for garnish Can add extra for serving.
  • Chopped parsley for garnish Adds freshness to the dish.

Preparation

  • Cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet. Cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked.

Cooking

  • Remove the chicken from the pan and let it rest before slicing.
  • In the same skillet, add the chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
  • Stir in the heavy cream and simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  • Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
  • Slice the chicken and place it on top of the pasta.
  • Garnish with Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with additional Parmesan cheese and parsley. Pair it with a simple salad or garlic bread for a complete meal. Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
