  • 1 bunch Garlic scapes Trim ends cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil Or vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced optional
  • 1 tsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Sesame oil For finishing
  • To taste — Salt
  • To taste — Black pepper Freshly ground
  • 1 tbsp Toasted sesame seeds Optional garnish

Instructions
 

  • Wash the garlic scapes thoroughly and trim off the tough ends. Cut into 2-inch pieces.
  • Heat olive oil in a frying pan or wok over medium-high heat.
  • Add minced garlic (if using) and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add the garlic scapes to the pan and stir-fry for about 3-5 minutes until tender-crisp.
  • Add soy sauce, salt, and pepper to taste. Stir well to combine.
  • Remove from heat and drizzle sesame oil over the top.
  • Garnish with toasted sesame seeds if desired and serve immediately.
