Ingredients
  

  • 2 liters water filtered or mineral
  • 1 –2 fresh lemons sliced (with zest optional)
  • 2 –3 inches fresh ginger root thinly sliced or grated
  • Optional:
  • Fresh mint leaves
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup
  • Cucumber slices

Instructions
 

  • Wash lemons and ginger thoroughly. Slice lemons and thinly slice or grate the ginger.
  • Place lemons and ginger into a large pitcher or glass jar. Add optional mint or cucumber slices.
  • Pour 2 liters of water over the ingredients.
  • Cover and refrigerate for 2–4 hours, or overnight for stronger flavor.
  • Optional: Strain before drinking or leave ingredients in for visual appeal.
  • Serve chilled throughout the day, ideally in the morning or before meals.

Notes

  • Adjust ginger slices for spiciness.
  • Use warm water in cooler months for a soothing drink.
  • Best consumed fresh, but can be stored in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
  • Drink before meals for appetite control and bloating relief.
