- 1 cup All-purpose flour Sifted
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1/2 cup Unsalted butter Softened
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 2 Eggs Room temperature
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup Milk
- As needed Food coloring Pink blue, or desired colors
- As needed Icing For decoration
- As needed Sprinkles Optional
Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease mini cake pans lightly.
Mix dry ingredients: In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
Cream butter and sugar: In a separate bowl, beat butter and sugar with an electric mixer until fluffy.
Add eggs and vanilla: Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
Combine wet and dry: Gradually fold in the dry ingredients alternately with milk until smooth.
Add color: Divide batter into portions and add food coloring as desired.
Bake: Pour batter into mini cake pans and bake for 18–20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool: Let cakes cool in pans for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Decorate: Once cooled, decorate with icing, sprinkles, or edible decorations as desired. Insert Barbie dolls into center if making Barbie doll cakes.
