Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 12 ounces your favorite pasta (spaghetti, fettuccine, or penne)
  • 4 cups chicken broth (or vegetable broth for a vegetarian version)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • to taste Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute, or until fragrant, making sure not to let it burn.
  • Pour in the pasta, chicken or vegetable broth, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil. Once boiling, reduce to a simmer, cover the pot, and cook the pasta according to the package instructions, usually around 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Once the pasta is cooked and the liquid is mostly absorbed, add the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Stir until the cheese has melted and the sauce is creamy. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley before serving. Enjoy your delicious, creamy dish!

Notes

For a lighter sauce, substitute half of the heavy cream with pasta cooking water. Use fresh garlic and high-quality cheese for the best flavor.
