  • 1 cup Buttermilk For marinating
  • 1 cup Flour For coating
  • ¼ cup Cornstarch Adds crispiness

  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder Adds aroma

  • ½ tsp Black Pepper To taste

  • ½ cup Honey Sweet base
  • 2 tbsp Hot Sauce Adjust for heat preference

Instructions
 

  • Marinate chicken in buttermilk with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder for at least 1 hour (or overnight).
  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Mix flour, cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper in a shallow dish.
  • Remove chicken from marinade and coat in flour mixture. Shake off excess.
  • Place chicken on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a wire rack.
  • Bake for 35–45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden brown.
  • Ensure chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  • In a saucepan, melt butter, then stir in honey, hot sauce, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  • Drizzle hot honey sauce over the crispy chicken.
  • Let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
