Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
  • 1 ½ cups BBQ sauce your favorite brand
  • ½ cup onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar optional, for extra sweetness
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Place chicken in the slow cooker.
  • Add BBQ sauce, onion, garlic, brown sugar, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir to coat the chicken evenly.
  • Cover and cook on Low for 6–7 hours or High for 3–4 hours, until chicken is tender.
  • Remove chicken from the slow cooker and shred with two forks.
  • Return shredded chicken to the slow cooker and mix well with the sauce.
  • Let it rest for 5–10 minutes on warm before serving.

Notes

  • Serve on toasted buns with coleslaw for a classic BBQ sandwich.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 4 days or frozen for up to 2 months.
  • Adjust BBQ sauce sweetness and smokiness to your preference.
