Ingredients

  • 1 box vanilla cake mix
  • 1 cup frosting (store-bought or homemade) Use cream cheese or dairy-free frosting if needed
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 12 lollipop sticks
  • sprinkles Add colorful or themed sprinkles for decoration

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Bake the cake as directed and cool completely.
  • Crumble cake into fine crumbs.
  • Mix in frosting until dough-like.
  • Roll into 1-inch balls.
  • Chill for 30 minutes.
  • Melt white chocolate with vegetable oil.

Assembly

  • Dip a lollipop stick into the melted chocolate, then insert it into each cake ball.
  • Dip the cake pops fully into the remaining chocolate.
  • Decorate with sprinkles.
  • Let the cake pops set upright until firm.

Notes

Reheat chocolate if it thickens. For more flavor, add 1 teaspoon vanilla extract or almond extract. Leftover cake works perfectly for this recipe.
