Ingredients
  

For the sauce

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp honey Adjust for sweetness
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1/2 tsp red chili flakes Optional, adjust for spice

For the chicken

  • 1 lb chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch For coating the chicken
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil For cooking

For the noodles

  • 8 oz noodles (rice noodles or egg noodles) Cook according to package directions

For garnish

  • 1 tsp sesame seeds Optional for garnish

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, and chili flakes to make the sauce.
  • Toss chicken pieces with cornstarch until evenly coated.
  • Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain and toss with a little oil if desired.

Cooking

  • Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  • Add chicken and cook until golden and cooked through, about 6–8 minutes.
  • Pour the sauce over the chicken and stir to coat. Let it simmer and thicken for 1–2 minutes.
  • Add noodles to the skillet and toss to combine with the chicken and sauce.

Serving

  • Serve Sticky Garlic Chicken Noodles hot, garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. Reheat in the microwave or on the stovetop before serving again. For extra crunch, add bell peppers or broccoli when cooking the chicken.
