  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, pureed Make sure they are well blended.
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch For dusting to prevent sticking.

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine glutinous rice flour and water until smooth.
  • Add pureed strawberries and mix well until fully incorporated.
  • Let the mixture rest for about 10 minutes.

Cooking

  • Pour the mixture into a mochi maker or steamer.
  • Cook for 15 minutes or until the mochi has a chewy texture.
  • Allow it to cool for a few minutes before handling.

Assembly

  • Dust a clean surface with cornstarch and transfer the mochi.
  • Shape the mochi into small rounds or desired shapes.
  • Dust with additional cornstarch to prevent sticking.

Notes

For best results, use a quality mochi maker and ensure accurate measurements of ingredients. Let the mochi rest after cooking for better handling.
