- 1 cup brown sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter
- ¼ cup corn syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 pinch salt

Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). This sets the stage for perfectly toasted Chex Mix.
- Prepare a large baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the Chex cereal and mixed nuts if you’re using them. Set aside.
Cooking
- In a saucepan, melt the butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, and salt over medium heat. Stir constantly until it reaches a gentle boil.
