Ingredients
  

  • 1 tbsp Dried butterfly pea flowers For blue color
  • 1 cup Hot water To steep the tea
  • 1-2 tsp Honey or sugar Optional to sweeten tea
  • 1/2 cup Milk Any kind: dairy or plant-based
  • Ice cubes For serving
  • Boba Pearls:
  • Amount Unit Name Notes
  • 1/3 cup Tapioca pearls Black or clear
  • Water For boiling pearls
  • 2 tbsp Brown sugar For syrup
  • 2 tbsp Warm water To mix with sugar

Instructions
 

  • Steep the Tea:
  • In a small pot or cup, add butterfly pea flowers and pour hot water over them. Steep for 5–7 minutes. Strain and sweeten if desired. Let it cool.
  • Cook the Boba:
  • Boil water in a pot and cook tapioca pearls according to the package. Stir occasionally. Drain and rinse with cold water.
  • Make Syrup:
  • Mix brown sugar and warm water. Add cooked boba to the syrup and let it sit for at least 5 minutes.
  • Assemble the Drink:
  • Add boba to a tall glass, fill with ice, pour the cooled blue tea, then top with milk. Stir gently and serve.

Notes

  • Use lemon juice for a fun color change (blue to purple).
  • Make it dairy-free with almond or oat milk.
  • Best enjoyed fresh while the boba is soft.
